Okay, all jokes aside…today was no doubt the scariest of my 20 something years. My once fascination with the “dark” side was taken to unexpected, unwanting new levels. 2 nights ago, Ray asked, “Did you not sleep well?” This question was contributed to my tumultuous tossing, turning, flipping of sheets, and just plain unrest. I found myself waking at 6 or 7ish to the voice of the little girl “next door” dressing for school. And once again, this morning, I found myself mysteriously waking very early plagued by extreme thirst…then followed the school girl’s voice. Strange perhaps, but no worries, right?
That is until friend Amber writes on my Facebook wall…

“Freaky” one might think, but guys I was/am/and will continue to be “HORRIFIED!” A little more behind the scenes that will add more shock to this “real life” saga, is that the mother of the little girl “next door” is here at the University doing intense research on the history, practice, and ways of “Wicka” a.k.a. “Witchcraft”. Ray & I (previously) often jokingly referred to her as “The Witch” and attributed strange and uncanny noises to her practices. “Oh…but no more!” I am truly scared! Mind you that Amber and Jackie had NO previous knowledge of our neighbor next door.
Do you think that each morning I woke up at the EXACT same time they were dreaming? Do you think I was extremely thirsty because I was being burned on a stake? Unsure. But I am definitely going to be keenfully aware of my surroundings. If this was yesterday, I may would chalk it up to some cruel & unusual April Fools joke…but it’s APRIL 2nd!
Thanks Mom for the LIVE on-the-phone support! Thanks Ray for leaving your office, walking to our apartment, only minutes before your class started because I was too scared to leave. Here I am ignorantly fearing the re-rise of the Nazi regime during our stay in Germany. Unbeknownst to me, I should in actuality be concerned with the workings of some spell or curses being cast upon me.
So I end with this…”Do you fight evil with evil?” or “Do you fight evil with good?” I choose the latter. Keep sending your prayers of protection this way.

I prayed for you and Rashawn before you even left for Germany and I am continuing to pray for you both. You both are covered by the blood of Jesus and his angels are camped around you 24/7 protecting you from all hurt, harm and danger so there is nothing to worry about. That means no spirit of witchcraft has any dominion in your household and that includes your place of residence in Germany. If you feel like you’re afraid just remember that “God has not given us a spirit of fear but one of love, power, and a sound mind.” When those feelings of fright do come over you, just read your bible and pray. If you don’t have one with you, go to an online bible. Some great scriptures to check out are Psalms 23 (the lord’s prayer) “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me”, Psalms 27 “The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear?”, and Psalms 56 “When I am afraid, I will trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid.” Girl, don’t worry about it, you know we (all your friends and family) got your back. Tell that ole witch next door, she don’t want me and Daphne to roll up Memphis style! Besides, it’s probably just all those crepes you’ve been eating anyway. :) Love ya!--SC
Ok, see now this is serious, someone or something is playing with our (I say our b/c as a true friend I feel whatever you feel)spirit. But guess what, I'm not even worried about you guys because I prayed for yall(excuse my french) before yall left and still praying. Like Stephanie said God has NOT giving us the spirit of fear....
Also, might I add Psalm 34:4 "I sought the Lord and he heard me, and delivered me from ALL my fears. Also Psalm 27:1-6 is to long to type but her's 2 verses to start "The lord is my light and my salvation Whom should I fear? The lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid. When the WICKED even mine enemies and foe came upon me to eat my flesh, even they stumbled and fell." Girl don't play, you know I be into my word and I can go on and on forever. Anyhow, I rebuke the devil right now in the name of Jesus AND I can and will buy another plane ticket. Besides, my mind been telling me I need to go to Italy anyhow LOL, love you, bye!

ok I might as well throw my 2cent worth on in here...my favorite: Phillipians 4:6-7 Don't be anxious about ANYTHING but in everything by prayer and petition let your requests be known to God. And the PEACE of GOD which passes ALL understanding will gaurd your hearts and minds in Jesus Christ ! Just remember to activate your faith through words ! and Sherrell said anoint your door with oil....any kind will do when you in a pinch.....and that should do it girl..ditto Daph and Steph !!!!

As many of your friends have stated previously, there is no need to fear. Evil is unfortunately everywhere, in every shape, form , and fashion. However, it is in times like these you must cling to your faith and stand on the word. My verse for you is Isaiah 54:17... No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, said the LORD. Stay encouraged, my friend. I will continue to keep you and your husband in my prayer.
